Staying up to date with seasonal boosters is one of the simplest ways to protect yourself and the people around you. Our pharmacists vaccinate hundreds of neighbours every season — here is everything first-timers ask us, in one place.
Who should consider a booster?
Adults over 60, pregnant people, carers, and anyone living with a long-term condition such as asthma, diabetes or heart disease benefit most. If you work in care, education or retail — jobs that put you in contact with many people — a booster keeps your winter on track.
When is the right time to book?
Immunity builds over about two weeks, so the sweet spot is early autumn, before indoor gatherings peak. Walk-ins are welcome at our Alder Street counter, but booking ahead guarantees your preferred time and vaccine type.
What to expect on the day
Bring a photo ID and a list of your current medicines. Wear a short-sleeved top, eat normally, and plan a light day afterwards — a sore arm or mild tiredness for a day or two is common and a sign your immune system is responding.
After your visit
Your record is updated the same day, and our team will remind you when your next seasonal dose is due. If you notice anything unusual beyond mild, short-lived soreness, call us on (212) 555-0147 any time.
